A major manufacturing company was working on new investments and facing higher demand for new machines, therefore they required a Chief Design Engineer. They hired Pacific to quickly fill the position with a high quality person to help them meet demands.
A major manufacturing company has its own internal Engineering Unit for designing and developing production lines and production equipment specifically made for manufacturing their own high-quality products. The Design Department had become overloaded as the business was working on new investments and facing higher demand for new machines, hence the creation of a new position, Chief Design Engineer.
For this position, a unique profile was needed; someone with a demonstrable experience in planning, managing and executing mechanical design work for Capex and R&D projects for the European market.
Pacific launched a search to map the local market and identify the key companies in the field of machine design and mechanical engineering. The work was then concentrated on searching and attracting candidates, within those companies, who possess relevant experience and the hard and soft skills that the business is looking for. Throughout the search, Pacific maintained a close relationship with the client to align on updates and make sure the search is going in the right direction.
The team presented a shortlist, with several profiles who have been thoroughly screened against the demands of our client. These candidates had the chance to visit the site and meet with the customer.
In the end, we successfully closed the search, having found the profile who met all the requirements, and who is working today on designing new innovative machines and production lines.
